Circuit Sentinel

Overview

Circuit Sentinel tasks you with protecting a steampunk city from nightly invasions by rogue mechs. Using strategic thinking, you'll connect power nodes across the city to ensure it remains illuminated and safeguarded against attacks.

Goal

Maintain the integrity of the city's power grid. Strategically link power nodes to guarantee a continuous energy flow, countering enemies that aim to sever power lines each night.

Educational Foundation

Circuit Sentinel not only challenges players with strategic gameplay but also introduces them to fundamental concepts of graph theory through Menger’s Theorem. This mathematical principle guides the procedural puzzle generation, ensuring that each puzzle is solvable and intellectually stimulating. This integration of real-world math into game design enhances the educational value, making Circuit Sentinel a bridge between theoretical mathematics and practical problem-solving skills.

• Procedural Puzzles: Experience unique challenges each playthrough, with puzzles dynamically generated to test your strategic planning.
• Expanded Game Levels: Traverse through multiple levels, each with a distinct layout and escalating difficulty, reflecting a deeper engagement with the core gameplay mechanics.
• Survival and Strategy: Each level requires not only connecting nodes but also planning for survival against nightly mech attacks that target your weakest links.

Controls

Keyboard:

• Movement: Navigate using WASD.
• Jump: Use the Spacebar to overcome obstacles.
• Create Connection: Press Spacebar at a primary node (indicated by a red point light) to start a connection, and Spacebar again at another node to complete it. Ensure each node is connected to form a robust network.
• Cancel Connection: Press Spacebar away from any node to cancel the current connection process.
  
• Finalize Setup: Press Enter to end your setup phase and test the grid against the mech attacks.
  
• Pause Menu: Press ESC to access the pause menu (not currently active).
